Foothills Municipal District

The Foothills Municipal District includes a large area south and East of Bragg Creek. The M.D. celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2004. The results of the 2003 Census indicated that 17,682 people live in the M.D. of Foothills. The Tsu Tina Nation Reserve is its North boundary between Bragg Creek & Calgary as you drive East along Highway 22X. Its southern boundary is south of High River.

Priddis is a large community area south and east of Bragg Creek, with a thriving rural community and charming hamlet at its core. It offers a wide variety of stunning landscapes & views and properties which are sure to please even the most discriminating tastes.

Millarville is another large community with the hamlet of Millarville at the intersection of Hwy 22S and Hwy 549W. You'll find diverse landscapes & stunning mountain views in the Millarville area, with properties ranging from 1 acre in the hamlet to full quarter sections all around. Like the neighboring Priddis community, you'll be captivated by the variety & quality of properties it has to offer.

The villages of Black Diamond and Turner Valley are just south of Millarville and offer wide variety of services to visitors & residents.

The towns of Okotoks & High River are larger towns in the MD with a wide range of services & amenities. This MD also includes the Village of Longview (home to famous singer/songwriter Ian Tyson) and the Eden Valley Indian Reserve.
